Adapting our Adaptable Boxes

Our technical support team were contacted with certain requirements for a special build, which we fulfilled using our bespoke service. The order was for 293 insulted adaptable boxes (400x300x135) pre loaded with the following components.

• Adaptable Box Mounting Plate (PBM4040)
• M20 Nylon Cable Gland Grey 6-12mm (M20DG)
• Slotted Din Rail 35 x 7.5mm Top Hat 0.5 Meter (STBDR0.5M)
• Screw Clamp Terminal for 4mm² Wire Brown (CTS4UNBROWN)
• Screw Clamp Terminal for 4mm² Wire Blue (CTS4UNBROWN)
• Earth Terminal for 4mm² Wire (CGT4U)
• 10 Way Insulated Pre-Assembled Shorting Link for 4mm² (CA742/10)
• End Clamp for Din (CA7/02)
• Blue End Plate for 2.5 - 4mm² Terminal (CTSEP5UBLUE)
• Brown End Plate for 2.5 - 4mm² Terminal (CTSEP5BROWN)
• Vent (EVPS-L20)
• Locking Nut (EMUG20)

They have cable gland entry at the bottom with a Vent. Inside is a Metal Back plate fitted with a Din Rail with room for a RCD.

The first order was received in April 2018, with a sample being sent for approval first. This was followed by an order of the first 20 enclosures. There was continuous dispatch direct to site, to the end user RDM Electrical & Mechanical Services in Swansea. A leading UK building services company that provides custom-made engineering solutions. Projects include Bishop Vaughan Comprehensive School, Francis Court and St Mary’s Church.

This project was completed by the end of June 2018.
