Christmas Jumper Day 2022

9th December 2022/

Charity is defined as giving resources like time and money without expecting anything in return. This selfless giving serves the most vulnerable in society and helps ensure that peoples’ human rights and needs are met. That comes across our company culture and beliefs. When people come together, they can make a big impact. Yesterday, Thursday 8 December, millions of people up and down the country came together – at their workplace, school or with friends – to make the world better with a sweater.  We are proud to share with you our participation in this charity event and make a positive change in the future.

WHAT IS CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY?
Christmas Jumper Day is Save the Children's annual event which raises money for children in the UK and across the world. Every December, millions of people across the United Kingdom (and beyond!) put on a festive outfit at their workplace, school or with friends and make a donation to help give children the magical future they deserve.

Thursday 8th December 2022 was Save the Children's 11th Christmas Jumper Day!

This year, the UK government promised to double society donations to Save the Children.

WHY IT’S IMPORTANT TO EUROPA?
Being a proactive, fast growing company we understand the importance of charity, and sustainability in the world and we believe we make a difference together.

We had a fantastic outcome, with 25 employee's participating we raised an impressive £250! The Events Team also created a competition within the company for best jumper and we all agreed that Mahmood Iqbal, our Senior Operations Manager, won an Amazon voucher with his amazing festive jumper that sings a Christmas Carol. Well done everyone!
