Product Feature:Reversing Motor Starters

Here at Europa, we have increased our well-established range of motor starters to include Europa Safe Start reversing starters with motor ratings of 5.5 or 11kW, and compact star delta starters with motor ratings of 11, 15 or 22kW.

Features and Benefits:

The Safe Start lines are supplied in a robust, IP54-rated metal-clad enclosure with coil voltage options of 230 and 415 volts. For easier installation, the lids are fitted with self-retaining screws, and both are available with or without an isolator. There is generous wiring space and clear marking of all internal connections, allowing for quick and easy installation.

To provide ultimate flexibility, the overload is ordered separately to suit the specific application, thereby reducing your number of stock lines, and saving you money. To ensure product safety and reliability, the contactors in both the reversing starters and compact star delta starters are mechanically and electrically interlocked.

All Safe Start lines are fitted with our popular TC range contactors and accessories. The BE2 versions are fitted with a highly reliable and industry-proven range of Europa door interlock switch disconnectors, adding safety, as the lid can only be removed in the ‘Off’ position.

The Safe Start compact ranges are ideal where space is limited.

Star Deltas are used when a gradual or smooth start-up is required.

Typical applications for reversing starters include:

  • Roller shutter doors
  • Conveyor belts
  • Gates
  • And any other application that requires the motor to be reversed. Reversing starters are only suitable for three-phase motors.
