In the spirit of giving back and making a positive impact, we are thrilled to share our sponsorship of the Easter Elephants campaign, a heartwarming initiative aimed at spreading joy and hope during this Easter season. At Europa, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting meaningful causes.
The Easter Elephants campaign holds a special significance for us, as it combines two elements close to our hearts: charity and creativity. This unique initiative, spearheaded by CHUMS Charity, seeks to bring smiles to each member of our team through the creation and distribution of handmade Easter elephant toys. These adorable elephants serve as symbols of hope and resilience, reminding us all of the joy that can be found in even the smallest acts of kindness.
CHUMS is a UK-based charity organization dedicated to supporting children and young people who are facing mental health and emotional difficulties, as well as those who have experienced bereavement. They offer a range of services, including therapeutic support, counseling, and training for professionals working with children and young people.
CHUMS Charity supports a number of local services in Bedfordshire, Luton, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, which rely wholly on charitable funds.
With the help of CHUMS Charity and the contribution of so many different supporters in the local community, £500,000 is required to fund those parts of the service that do not receive contractual funding. Those services are:
The Trauma Service – Bereavement and Non-Bereavement Trauma (sexual abuse and witness to domestic violence)
The Bedfordshire Suicide Bereavement Service (BSBS) – supporting families in the devastating aftermath of a suicide death
The Recreational Therapeutic Service supporting young people who can’t readily engage in 1:1 talking therapies, via football and music programmes
The Babyloss Bereavement Service – supporting families when a baby dies before, at or soon after birth
The Disability Friendship Scheme in Luton – offering a safe social space on a Friday evening to youngsters with learning and/or physical disabilities.
We invite you to join us in supporting the Easter Elephants campaign and making a difference in the lives of children and families in need. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word about this wonderful cause, every contribution counts. Together, we can help bring smiles to faces and spread hope far and wide.
As we celebrate the Easter season, let us remember the true meaning of this holiday – a time of renewal, hope, and compassion. Through our partnership with the Easter Elephants campaign, we hope to embody these values and make a positive impact in our community and beyond. Thank you for joining us on this meaningful journey, and together, let's make this Easter a little brighter for everyone.
Join in with our new Easter Elephants Appeal, where thousands of knitted elephants will be filled with a Creme Egg and sold to raise funds for CHUMS Charity.
WHAT’S YOUR STORY?
Everyone has a story – something that makes them who they are.
For some people their stories are so overwhelming, sad or traumatic it can make it very difficult to see a happy ending.
In Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, and West Essex, we’re like a big family, supporting young people, families, and adults through the ups and downs of mental health. And now, we’re inviting you to join our journey with our “What’s Your Story” campaign.
We’ve got three big goals for this campaign.
Firstly, we want everyone to know about the incredible work that CHUMS does, so we’re sharing some of the stories from people who have been helped by us, their friends and family, and our team.
Secondly – we want to encourage people to keep talking about mental health. It’s time to share, and support each other, because we know how important it is to keep talking.
Last, but not least – we want to inspire action – and for this bit, we need your help because many of CHUMS services simply can’t happen without YOU.
Whether it’s donating, volunteering, or just joining our mailing list, every little bit helps us make a difference. We hope you’re inspired by our stories to GET INVOLVED.
From one time to another, everyone is affected by things relating to mental health, whether it’s something that has happened to you directly, or to a friend, family member or work colleague. That’s why the work we do is so vital – because you never know when you, or someone you love may need our support.
We want you to get involved! Your voice matters, whether it’s sharing your own story, lending a hand, or spreading the word.
