Cancer Research and Dementia UK are both excellent charities dedicated to supporting families, so no one has to face these terrible diseases alone.
Here’s how they got on…
It was really good, I love walking and to have a purpose helps.
Cancer Research UK is a great charity saving lives through research, so doing an extra mile a day to raise support is so worth it.
I’ll do more challenges but I’m not ready for a marathon yet!
Thanks to my colleagues for their support and for being inspired to take part alongside me!
Angela raised £315 + Gift aid for Cancer Research UK.
I used to walk regularly; however, life events took this away from me, now in a more pleasant landscape I was able to rediscover the joy of walking.
Cancer has affected so many lives of colleagues, family and friends, I was able to draw on the emotion and turn it into action.
I will be enjoying a lot more hiking cross country going forward, I would like to raise money for a wellness charity sometime soon, for example ‘Tackling Minds’ a charity that encourages people to take up fishing to help with mental health.
I’m grateful for the kind donations Europa has made to this cause and others throughout the year!
Ryan raised £350 + Gift aid for Cancer Research UK.
I really enjoyed it! I normally walk a couple times a week but really enjoyed the challenge to remain consistent in honour of a great cause!
I wanted to raise money for a charity close to my heart but enjoyed taking it at my own pace.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family, working towards a day where no one has to face dementia alone.
I enjoyed the consistency of the challenge, it was rewarding to raise money for a great cause while also knowing it was improving my own fitness. I will definitely be joining in more challenges in the future!
I would like to thank Europa and everyone else who donated for the support. If you’re thinking about doing a challenge like this for charity, just do it!
